- Bebbo's Java Server - BEJY is a modular server application, designed for small memory footprints and high performance. It has functionality similar to inetd and some helper classes/functions to ease the implementation of new protocols. It provides a generic multithreaded TPC/IP server implementation with optional SSL support, covering the complete connection and thread management. Each supported service provides its protocol implementation(s), where the protocol dependend handling is done. The current version comes with HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP protocol implementations. The HTTP protocol implementation also covers a servlet engine, a JSP engine, a handler to invoke CGI, and other useful things. Feel free to download and use it for non commercial purposes.

- The Java Apache Project - Apache JServ 1.1 - Best Free Product 1999 To all of the Java Apache followers: The active members of the Java Apache Project would like to thank everyone for following and being a part our community and helping us develop software that we proudly place the Apache name on. This note is to inform you of what our goals for this website and project are in the near future (no set date yet). We are going to be merging with the Jakarta Project and all of the currently active projects on Java Apache will be migrated over to the Jakarta Project. Projects that are not active will move into an "incubator" status and will not be advertised as real "Apache" projects. Our most widely used project, JServ, will also be migrated, but as it has already been noted, JServ is in a bug fix only mode. No new features will be added and no new development will occur. As a replacement for JServ, we recommend that you please evaluate the Tomcat servlet engine for your needs as it implements the latest Servlet API specifications and that is where all active development is occurring.
