OBERON SOFTWARE RELEASES TE/2 VERSION 1.33
December 13, 1996, Mankato, MN - Oberon Software announced today it will
immediately begin shipping the latest release of its flagship OS/2
telecommunications program TE/2. TE/2 (The Oberon Terminal Emulator/2) is
one of the most popular and most mature OS/2 based modem programs in the
market today.
This maintenance release features updated install and configuration
routines which will help to facilitate files sharing between TE/2 and its
"big sister" program, TE/2 Pro. Because of this, TE/2 has been able to
inherit hundreds of new modem setups from TE/2 Pro greatly enhancing its
list of directly supported modems.
TE/2's TCP/IP and Internet support and file transfers have been upgraded to
make the use of TE/2 as a Telnet client more robust and file transfers over
an Internet connection more reliable.
Oberon Software would like to welcome two new vendors: BMT Micro, Inc. and
Norloff's OS/2 BBS. TE/2, TE/2 Pro, and other Oberon Software products are
now available from these vendors.
A full featured "Test Drive" version of TE/2 can be obtained from any of
