Subject: New Year OS/2 news

Hello everyone, we're back. The weather was lousy, there was NO wind - so no
windsurfing. Oh well. During the break, FaxWorks Pro 3 took voice messages (and, of
course faxes) using one of standard scripts that come with it, overall, it worked
100% with out fail in taking messages, though we did have some minor problems when
doing some 'control functions' where modem wouldn't hang up, we're working to
resolve these.

FaxWorks LAN users; did you know you can control your fax server(s) from w/s using
FxRcv.exe ? (Neither did I till recently,) just specify fax server name on the
command line like :
FxRcv \\Dolphin -hold

- and I can send email in peace....

We are preparing a New Year software specials, to be emailed next day or two....

Here's a sampling:

Blank CD-R media, either Sony or Taiyo Yuden media; 1x, 2x, 4x certified:
10 CD-R $137.50 tax included
50 CD-R $650 tax included

RSM ver 4: 30% off till end of January

dBExpert: $125 till end of January

Stardock products:
Process Commander $115
Trials of Battle, Avarice, Masters of Empire @ $90 ea

//in response to his comments, Reseller's magazine Paul Zucker was sent this fax: but he still
hasn't come in....//

Paul Zucker, Reseller News IDG, fax 9439-5512

Paul,

since time immemorial I have been reading stories how OS/2 doesn't work, is
difficult to use or unreliable.

Most of these stories originated from overseas from authors of dubious authority
whose names I have never heard of, and usually would never hear of again, and some
were from your local colleagues whose professional expertise was largely limited to
and confined to such basic skills as "search for Chicago, replace with
Chippendale".

But in the last issue of Reseller, none other than the respected Paul Zucker
expressed his disappointment with an OS/2 equipped office. So please accept this as
invitation to see how an OS/2 office works.

We do not use OS/2 and OS/2 application to be different, or because we have shares
in IBM, we use it because it's simpler, easier to use, more reliable and immensely
more powerful.

Sincerely, Voytek Eymont

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally
received your copy of Trials of Battle but nobody to challenge? or Having trouble
with latency on the Internet, but nobody local you can call?

That's just the reason I started the Trials of Battle Player List. Organized by area
code it gives the email addresses of potential combatants.

All you have to do is visit http://www.tstonramp.com/~phelix/tob/ and submit your 1)
E-mail address 2) Area code

You can also give your city for those larger area codes, but this is not required.

I will also be maintaining a list of Trials of Battle servers online, so if you have
a server up submit it as well. Please add the speed of your connection when you
submit. 128k minimum server speed required.

This sort of project will only work if you add your information to the list as well,
so please tell a friend.
